In July last year, my 3 year old, Alice, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Like you, we were thrown into the worst possible situation a parent can face. Thankfully, Alice's tumour was operable, and low grade, and she is now very well. Although she is regularly scanned and seen in clinic, the doctors are very positive about her future. We have been to hell and back, so I can't begin to imagine what you have been through. The work you have done and the money you have raised are a credit to you and your beautiful boy. You have turned your own terrible experience into something positive for many other families, for whom the 'home from home' facilities are a lifeline. I hope Christopher's fund continues to do well. Hi Sarah,
Your web site is lovely, and the loss of my son is still acute after a year. He died in January 2006 of a brain tumour at the age of 18.As you saw from our web site (www.cccrf.co.uk)I have set up a charity to try and raise awareness about this awful disease and to try and get more research done, so that perhaps one day families won't have to suffer in the way that we have.
Best of Luck Karen Clarke

Truly sorry to hear of what you have been through. Our son had his first brain tumour when he was 14 and we were on holiday. We were very lucky as he was operated on and made a full recovery. Unfortunatelt it recurred when he was 20 and he died on Christmas Eve 1995 days after our 25th wedding anniversary and just before his 21st birthday. You never get over it , but I suppose you do get used to it, although it still seems like it happened yeaterday. Good luck to you all
